Best Female Jazz Vocalist
Ceremonies will be held in NYC December 3, 2011 (venue will soon be announced).
I'm beyond excited, considering I am not signed to any label, have no management or booking agent. I’ve pushed and worked hard on my own behalf regarding the business of music, no easy fete, while simultaneously staying creative, working on my music. God only knows how high I could soar if I had someone in my corner. I hope its a sign of things to come.

Suggestions: Get a web designer. Your site is a mess and difficult to read. Too many colors. Too much info that is not pertinent. Same problem last year too. Photos not formatted, backgrounds not formatted. I'm a musician but have no idea what is going on here. Why the heck is there a monkey and a dog photo? Again looks like the aftermath of a natural disaster and no info that I am looking for is there. You ask to keep messages concise, take your own advise and do it on your site. Our manager thought this was for a benefit show??? So confusing. Just my 2 cents. Peace.
please try to keep your messages --which we love to read--- concise, 30 to 70 words.
along with your best link. remember you don't need 100 words to say what 10 words will. buzz us with the tasty. drop the excess.

attention gerry segal, the reverb nation is just for a showcase submission, for whatever reason some performers just want to showcase and nothing else.
thanks for the connect.
full registration is $50 (minus any submission fees), guaranteed showcase slot, includes test marketing of your cd to 10 radio stations, custom made for your band, coaching for a year (we're pretty good at this) and eligible to be one of 8 lucky winners (via raffle)
of 10% of community's gross.
another option is a track on our compilation cd is $125. see home page for more info
AND great mentors & panelists & a great way to build your music network.
if none of the above appeals to you a showcase submission via www.sonicbids.com or www.reverbnation.com ...we have guaranteed performances to each service.
for quicker responses i am at musicnominations@aol.com
and i truly believe we will see other music conferences lowering their registration fees and becoming more pro-active in helping musicians with way cool services like ours. radio promo, coaching & a 10% giveback!!!!!!!!!
I just got an invitation from Reverbnation It says:"This is your official invitation to submit to Community 2: Lehigh Valley Music Conference!
Dates: Thursday, May 5th - Saturday, May 7th Submissions Close: Sat Apr 23 Submission Fee: $7.50 "
After looking at this website it seems that there is a $50 registration fee for all musicians to participate. Is this ReverbNation fee in addition to the $50 fee or is it a separate category? Any explanation will be helpful.
Thanks.

This will be an exciting conference for Kevin Mackie and me, as we will be attending with a Grammy nomination under our belts. No small task for a team of local producers, writers and artists who worked so diligently to create Healthy Food For Thought: Good Enough To Eat", yet we are extremely grateful for all the positive results.
A HUGE THANK YOU to bright star, Ian Bruce who has created a local music scene fueled by a sense of community, creativity and passion. This has inspired artists of every genre to work their performances and promotions to the highest capacity. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was the LVMA. Going on it's thirteenth year, it has grown by leaps and bounds becoming one of the most respected organizations in the country promoting musicians and their craft.
We are honored to once again take part in this community conference.
I would be remiss if I didn't thank Miss Gloria Domina, the cog in the wheel that helps Ian keep the LVMA (and more!) rolling along.
See everyone there! 2011!
I am a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. 2011 would be my first year participating in the Lehigh Valley Music Conference. A friend of mine, Mona Rodriguez, has expressed to me the many benefits the Music conference has to offer. Being a musician, I am excited to meet the other musicians participating and gain deeper musical insight from those who have already participated in the Music Conference. I recently released an EP titled "Take Two" and it is being digitally distributed through CDBaby and itunes.

Being involved has been a positive experience for my son. They have helped him to grow as a musician in their tireless support. I feel anyone who has the opportunity to be involved should.
I have been involved with music in the Lehigh Valley since 1970 and am anxiously awaiting LV Music Conference 2. I will be attending so that I can further my knowledge of the business and share my experiences with the participants at this years forum.

I would think that any and all who are involved with music in the Lehigh Valley and surounding area would be here and be part of this. Not only musicians but writers, producers, club and venue people, recording and sound studio's and even those who want to get involved with music or think they might. This is a must for all of you. If you have not booked your reservation do it now.
This is a must attend for any band that is serious about their music. It is a one stop shopping opportunity to learn how to work smart not hard when it comes to writing, performing, and promoting your music. Nowhere else will you get the most bang for your buck than the COMMUNITY Lehigh Valley Music Conference. Its not enough to just showcase at this event. Save the date for the whole weekend and attend one of the many seminars and workshops designed to help you succeed.
I and two of the bands I managed attended last year and it was a very rewarding experience. I am looking forward to being a panelist this year. See you in May!
I was very happy to be part of the music conference last year and plan to document it this year as well. This year's conference will be even bigger than last year's!!!

Looking forward to reviewing the info on your site.
Congrats, Ian and Gloria! You are the dynamic duo. Maggie Spike had a great time performing at your showcase and we are looking forward to working with you to promote our music in the Lehigh Valley. Please check out our new cd, "Sol Paradise" available for worldwide distribution through Canadian American Records and check out our song, "Money & Influence" on Women of Substance Radio. We'll be performing again at Mayfair in Allentown this year, so please stop by.
All the best!

What a wonderful event! I drove up from Washington DC for the presence of Steve Kimock, but stayed to enjoy the talent that followed him. What a great community and center you have. Hope it continues long and strong.

Bob
